Un Peu D'Histoire
The Big Confusion, de son vrai nom Nuno, est né en décembre. Il a commencé par jouer de la basse mais s'est par la suite tourné vers les synthés et ne les lâche pas.
«Je pense que j'ai toujours fait de la musique dans ma tête; aussi loin que je me souvienne, il y a toujours eu de la musique à la maison; c'était une présence quotidienne, tout comme la volonté de faire de la musique. Cette musique a commencé à s'exprimer hors de ma tête vers 2004 et la première apparition live de The Big Confusion a eu lieu un samedi soir de mai 2005, quand c'était encore moi qui jouais de la basse, programmant un Roland mc303 et des voix, avec un ami jouant de la guitare électrique ; c'était toujours au Portugal; peut-être 3 mois plus tard, j'ai déménagé à Barcelone, et The Big Confusion a pris la forme que vous connaissez aujourd'hui.
Je suis né et j'ai grandi à l'intérieur du Portugal, dans un petit village de la Serra da Estrela, les montagnes les plus mystérieuses, dominées par des brouillards et des rochers aux formes étranges, autour de lacs sombres; J'ai déménagé à Barcelone il y a 15 ans où je vis toujours.»

A Propos Du Nom
«The Big Confusion… était mon nom artistique depuis le début, pour le projet musical et pour tout projet artistique auquel je peux participer ou collaborer; il n’y a pas vraiment de «pourquoi», c’était juste une phrase qui me traversait la tête encore et encore et qui me semblait appropriée à l’époque.
Au fil du temps et de la vie, nous avons compris et découvert que The Big Confusion c'est moi, c'est vous, c'est tout autour de nous et vous ne pouvez pas vous échapper. Nobody Can Escape.»

«La participation la plus pertinente avec d'autres artistes a été lorsque j'ai joué à Berlin au festival Berlin-Reykjavik-Damas, organisé par Hanin Elias, co-fondateur d'Atari Teenage Riot (Merci Hanin), pour collecter des fonds pour aider les familles dans le besoin, les victimes de la guerre sirienne; j'ai eu la chance de jouer ce soir-là sur la même scène que des artistes comme James Cook, Nemo, Electrosexual, Hanin a également fait une présentation, entre autres artistes, en même temps sur les 3 villes, et ce fut une expérience très agréable et positive.
Pour les fans, il y a toujours un grand merci de ressentir cela, de la manière que chacun de vous peut ressentir et merci de faire partie de The Big Confusion.»

«Beaucoup ; dans le monde de la musique il y a IAMX, Placebo, beaucoup d'alternatifs des années 90, plus récemment, des groupes comme Crystal Castles, Aesthetic Perfection, Sidewalks and Skeletons, ainsi que TR / ST, Solar Fake… et d'autres artistes aux influences électroniques pour la plupart plus sombres; aussi le côté le plus étrange du monde, les trucs inhabituels et bizarres et bien sûr les événements personnels, peut-être la plus grande influence dans la façon dont ma musique est façonnée.»

His Story
The Big Confusion, whose real name is Nuno, was born in December. He started out playing bass, but then turned to synths and hasn't let go of them.
"I think I've always made music in my head; as far back as I can remember, there's always been music at home; it was a daily presence, as was the desire to make music. This music started to express itself out of my head around 2004 and the first live appearance of The Big Confusion was on a Saturday night in May 2005, when it was still me playing bass, programming a Roland mc303 and vocals, with a friend playing electric guitar; this was still in Portugal; maybe 3 months later I moved to Barcelona, and The Big Confusion took the form you know today.
I was born and raised in the interior of Portugal, in a small village in the Serra da Estrela, the most mysterious mountains, dominated by mists and strangely shaped rocks, around dark lakes; I moved to Barcelona 15 years ago where I still live."

About The Name
"The Big Confusion... was my artistic name from the beginning, for the musical project and for any artistic project I may participate in or collaborate with; there's no real "why", it was just a phrase that ran through my head over and over again and seemed appropriate at the time.
As time and life went on, we understood and discovered that The Big Confusion is me, it's you, it's all around us and you can't escape. Nobody Can Escape."

"The most relevant participation with other artists was when I played in Berlin at the Berlin-Reykjavik-Damas festival, organized by Hanin Elias, co-founder of Atari Teenage Riot (Thank you Hanin), to raise money to help families in need, victims of the Sirian war; I had the chance to play that night on the same stage as artists like James Cook, Nemo, Electrosexual, Hanin also did a presentation, among other artists, at the same time on the 3 cities, and it was a very pleasant and positive experience.
For the fans, there's always a big thank you for feeling that way, the way each of you can feel and thank you for being a part of The Big Confusion."

"A lot; in the music world there's IAMX, Placebo, a lot of 90's alternative, more recently bands like Crystal Castles, Aesthetic Perfection, Sidewalks and Skeletons, as well as TR / ST, Solar Fake... and other artists with mostly darker electronic influences; also the weirder side of the world, unusual and weird stuff and of course personal events, maybe the biggest influence in how my music is shaped."
